Iron-blue beryl, usually cut clean because it grows clean. It holds its colour in any light and asks very little in return.

Beryl coloured sea-blue by iron. Glassy, clean and hard enough for daily wear; the blue deepens with size, and small stones stay the colour of shallow water.
